The Omen

Now...if you read the post on Auspicious Dates, then this one will really make you smirk...or make you think, "What is wrong with these fools?"

Let me tell you how we chose our second wedding date. To start off, the second date wasn't really our second date but actually our third. Our original date was 6/6/09. Yes...thinking twice about it, we still scheduled for this date. When will there ever be a series of 3 sixes again in a date? 6/6/06 had already passed. The next time will be 6/6/66. By that time, we would be in our late eighties and there are 4 sixes...if something satanic was supposed to happen, then we probably wouldn't care anyway. Little did we know...

The day after I made the reservation for the wedding and reception, we decided to watch the 2006 remake of the Omen. What a rude awakening! To think, we got spooked enough to become hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia (a fear of the infamous satanic triple 6) and changed the date to 6/13/09 the very next morning. We never thought about time...6AM/PM on 6/6, the time that the devil child in the movie was born. In that case, 3 sixes would occur at least 2 times a year! And yes, we are guilty of being suspicious. So this time, we didn't let some fortune teller determine our wedding date but the omen.
